Terms and Conditions

Strider Moving (AssetBreak) · Version 1.4 · Effective 1 April 2026

These terms and conditions apply to all moving services provided by Strider Moving (AssetBreak). By booking our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before your move.

1. How We Price Our Services

Most of our moves are charged by the hour. The price you pay depends on how long the move takes, not on a fixed estimate. We'll give you an indication of cost beforehand, but the final price is based on actual time spent.

What's included in your hourly rate:

  • Travel time from our base (Le Sage ten Broeklaan 9) to your address and back
  • Loading and unloading
  • Transport
  • Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly
  • Waiting time at your location

Breaks: Break time is not charged unless agreed otherwise in advance.

2. What You Need to Tell Us

Please inform us before the move if:

  • Your home is on an upper floor without an elevator
  • Access is restricted or difficult (narrow stairs, no parking)
  • You have fragile or high-value items that need special care
  • Any items contain dangerous materials (paint, gas, batteries, chemicals)
  • Parking permits or special access arrangements are needed

If we weren't told about conditions that affect the move, the actual price may be higher than the estimate. We'll always let you know if this happens during the move.

3. Our Liability for Damage

Important: Our liability is limited to €800 maximum per move, based on the current value of damaged items. This is not insurance — it's the legal limit of what we're responsible for.
  • Maximum compensation is €800 total per move
  • Compensation is based on current value (taking age and wear into account)
  • Items you packed yourself are not covered

High-Value Items

If you have items worth more than €800 total, please tell us beforehand. We reserve the right to photograph valuable items before and after the move. If you don't consent to photos, we cannot provide coverage for those items.

Reporting Damage

Report any damage within 14 days after delivery, including clear photos, a description, and which items are affected. We'll respond within 7 days.

4. Payment

Payment is due within 7 days after you receive the invoice. Depending on available payment methods, you may be able to pay immediately at delivery.

If you have a complaint about the move, you still need to pay the invoice. Any refund or compensation will be handled separately after payment.

5. Parking and Access

We handle parking arrangements unless you explicitly tell us you've organized everything.

If you said you'd arrange parking/permits and we get a fine or towing fee because those arrangements weren't in place, you're responsible for those costs.

6. Dangerous Goods

We reserve the right to refuse transport of dangerous items including: paint, gas bottles, batteries, chemicals, fireworks, or anything flammable or hazardous. Please show us these items before the move starts.

7. If We Can't Complete the Move

In cases of severe weather, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances beyond anyone's control, we may pause or stop the move. You'll only pay for the time actually worked and any costs already incurred.

8. Extra Work During the Move

If you ask us to do something not in the original plan, we'll let you know it's extra work and may charge accordingly. We'll always tell you before we do it — no surprises on the invoice.

9. Helping During the Move

You're welcome to help, but we may decline your assistance if it's unsafe or will slow things down. Damage caused by your involvement is not covered by our liability.

10. Be Ready When We Arrive

Please have everything packed and ready at the agreed start time. Waiting time because things aren't ready is still charged as part of the move.

11. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any legal disputes will be handled by the court in Eindhoven.
